The competition will take place from April 18, 2026 to November 15, 2026, inclusive, and will consist of a paragliding free-flight competition.
Participation requirements:
- The competitor must be a member of the Paragliding Federation of Moldova;
- The equipment used in the competition must comply with safety requirements. Each participant is responsible for ensuring that their flying equipment meets safety standards. For example:
- A recently repacked reserve parachute;
- A helmet and other passive safety equipment;
- A paraglider in acceptable technical condition (porosity check, trim check, etc.);
- The participant assumes full personal responsibility for the decisions made and the consequences arising during the competition. For example:
- Decisions to withdraw from participation;
- Decisions to launch, continue, or terminate the flight on route;
- Full responsibility for any accidents, incidents, recoveries, losses, or damages caused.
- The competitor must notify the federation of their intention to participate by email in free form at (paragliding.moldova@gmail.com) before the start of the competition. In case of late notification (after the start date), only the flights performed after the notification date will be accepted for evaluation.
- The participant must submit all relevant information required for result evaluation no later than December 1. If the participant fails to submit the results within the established deadline, they will receive zero points.
Evaluation of results:
The results will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- The final score will be based on a maximum of 5 flights submitted for evaluation;
- Only flights performed within the territory of the Republic of Moldova will be accepted;
- The score for each submitted flight will be calculated according to the XC FAI scoring formula in paragraph 4 of the following rules: https://www.xcontest.org/usa/rules/;
- The competitor’s final result will be the sum of the scores of the submitted flights.
Announcement of results and awards ceremony:
The results will be announced at the annual general meeting of the Paragliding Federation for the year 2026. Awards will be given in 2 categories:
- FUN class: flights with EN-A and EN-B class wings;
- ALL: all EN wings;
